A true community barbershop
Gentlemen Cuts Barbershop is a community staple in Saint Paul, Minnesota. I got to design their website. The story of their brand transformation is featured on Season 6 of the Emmy-nominated series, Small Business Revolution.

Start by asking the right questions
On an initial video call with Terrell—the owner of Gentlemen Cuts—I asked him “If your brand was a car company, what would it be?” to which he answered “Lincoln” because of their timeless luxury and sophistication. This distinction along with insights gained from our discovery session helped to craft a cohesive strategy and visual direction.
A refined black and white color palette helps convey the high-end customer experience at Gentlemen Cuts, while pops of color highlight the array of melanin-rich skin tones you'll find at the barbershop.
“One of the hardest things to do when branding or creating a new feeling is making sure you don't extract what is authentic. This website feels purely you. This is a phenomenal site.
